Group Mentor Coaching, it’s a topic that a lot of coaches are talking about this year. Especially those who are working toward ICF credentials, or those who need to learn the new ICF Competencies.
As I detailed in an earlier post, ten hours of mentor coaching is a requirement for ICF credentials. Some coaches prefer to do this work individually with their selected mentor coach. But many prefer the company of other coaches and want to participate in group mentor coaching.
I have noticed a significant uptick in requests for group mentor coaching recently. I’ve also noticed that the groups are filling quickly, especially the MCC Prep cohorts.
I think this is because we are all feeling the effects of so much isolation. We’re ready to get out there (even if it’s on Zoom) and work with our peers.
Over the last few weeks, coaches have been reaching out to talk about planning for the new ICF competencies, and for their mentor coaching.
Some are looking to use group mentor coaching as a method for learning the new ICF competencies and collecting Coach Core Competency (CCE) units. Others want to avoid the last-minute panic of waiting to figure out where to get group mentor coaching with a credential renewal deadline looming.
Whatever the motivation, they want to get this learning on their calendars now, even if it takes place later in the year.
I have always planned my group mentor coaching cohorts one at a time, based on a waitlist. Last year, I created a Fall schedule.
For weeks now, coaches have been asking me for a schedule for the whole year (thanks for the challenge, coaches).
So, I’ve created a 2022 Group Mentor Coaching Schedule so you can plan well in advance for how to get your mentor coaching done and dusted!
I’ve built the schedule based on what the coaches on my subscriber list have been asking for.
So, you will find two groups for all credential levels and three groups for MCC Prep for PCC credential holders only.
Please continue to keep in touch, and let me know how I can best help you in your coaching and credentialing journey.
