If you’ve been a coach for a while, you know that International Coaching Week is an opportunity for coaches to reconnect with their peers and profession.
It’s a chance for all of us to learn and grow. This year, it takes place from May 13th to May 19th.
Here’s what else you need to know.
Since ICF is a global community, many workshops, webinars, and networking events are happening worldwide. It’s a time of celebration, collaboration, and inspiration. You can find out what’s happening in your area by checking with your local ICF Chapter or looking at the ICF International Coaching Week 2024 events calendar.
Coaching has evolved over the years that I have been in the field. It’s much more than a profession. Coaching can and does transform individuals and organizations, one conversation at a time, every day.
But you already knew that, Coach!
International Coaching Week (ICW) recognizes and shares the huge value that coaching brings. With over 71,000 professional coaches, this week allows us all to reflect on our skills and engage in continuous learning and development.
I invite you to use this time to engage in reflective practice. ICW can be an ideal time to take a step back and evaluate your coaching journey. You could do some self-assessment or solicit feedback from your peers and clients on your work. This whole month of May can be your golden opportunity to make a concerted effort to identify areas for growth and improvement in your coaching. With introspection and the ICF core competencies as your guide, you can cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and excellence for yourself and our coaching profession.
In 2024, the demand for skilled coaches continues to rise, highlighting the importance of ongoing skill-building.
You’ve probably read the ICF stats that underscore the immense impact of coaching on individuals and organizations. Ninety-nine percent of individuals who have worked with a coach report satisfaction with the experience, and 96% would recommend coaching to others. Organizations that invest in coaching see a return of nearly six times the cost of coaching services.
Amidst the celebrations of International Coaching Week, I am excited to announce the launch of my latest self-directed learning tool, How to Learn the PCC Markers – 32 Fun Activities to Get You Started.
Coaches loved the first tool, How to Learn the ICF Competencies—32 Fun Activities to Get You Started, and they encouraged me to develop something similar for the PCC Markers.
If you are en route to your Professional Certified Coach credential, this tool will help you prepare. Using engaging activities and practical exercises, you will anchor your knowledge of the PCC Markers, an integral component of the PCC evaluation.
As a special offer in honour of International Coaching Week, I am pleased to offer a 20% discount on How to Learn the PCC Markers—32 Fun Activities to Get You Started for May. The offer expires at midnight EST on May 31st. Use the code ICW24PCC.
And here’s an offer that doesn’t expire. I’ve bundled the programs so you can master the Competencies and the Markers too. Get both “How to Learn the ICF Competencies – 32 Fun Activities to Get You Started” and “How to Learn the PCC Markers – 32 Fun Activities to Get You Started.” Save if you purchase both programs as a bundle. Find out more here.
Remember, International Coaching Week represents more than just a time for celebration. It can catalyze your growth, learning, and collaboration within the coaching community.
Please seize the day and take this opportunity to engage with your peers, reflect on your practice, and get re-invigorated!
That’s what I’ll be doing!
