The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the world’s largest professional coaching organization. It advances the coaching profession through globally recognized credentials, ethical standards, coach education, research, and a worldwide professional community. In its most recently published global snapshot, ICF reported more than 60,000 members and nearly 56,000 credential-holders across 157 countries and territories.

The Master Certified Coach credential is the highest level of individual coaching credential offered by ICF.
It is intended for experienced coaches who have demonstrated an advanced ability to integrate the ICF Core Competencies and create a fully client-centred coaching partnership.
To qualify for the MCC credential, candidates must complete at least 200 hours of coaching education and document more than 2,500 hours of client coaching experience.
Despite the continued growth of professional coaching, MCC credential-holders represent just 4% of ICF-credentialed coaches worldwide. The designation reflects not only substantial education and experience, but also a demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, continued professional development, and coaching mastery.
Choosing an MCC means choosing a coach who has met ICF’s most advanced credentialing requirements and demonstrated their coaching through independent assessment. Just as importantly, the right coaching relationship should offer the experience, trust, challenge, and partnership you need to do your best thinking.
