Great news Coaches! The THIRD book in the Really Competent Coach series will be available very soon!
I’ve received lots of great feedback on the first two books, Understanding the ICF Coach Core Competencies Framework, and Setting the Foundation. This third book aims to help you build your muscles in Co-creating the Relationship.
Other coaches have deepened their learning on the ICF Coach Core Competencies with these books already. Here’s what they’ve said:
“I graduated RRU about 18 months ago. I feel your book was a great summary and excellent reminder of best practices. I love the idea of an Evernote style coaching journal. I never considered recording myself. Two new action items for me. It was powerful to read this as a somewhat seasoned ACC and to have a different lens vs. when I first learned about the competencies and best practices. I feel that many aspects of this book could be used not just for the newbies, but the ‘already-bes’ as well!”
“I thought your ebook was extremely well written and had a natural flow to it. As a relatively new coach, it reconfirmed many things I knew and gave me some excellent ideas and insight into other actions I should take.”
“This is a quick and straightforward overview of the ICF competencies plus a very simple starting guide for new coaches. As someone who has just left my previous employer after 18 years to start my own coaching business, the advice can be overwhelming, this has taken me back to basics again – a good thing!”
My giant wish is that these books help even more coaches be the best they can be, and competencies set the bar high for all of us. Aligning your work to the ICF Coach Core Competencies demonstrates professionalism in the field. After all, when one coach grows, we all grow! If you’re not sure how you stack up in your knowledge of the competencies, take the Quickie Quiz!
As you might imagine, it’s a big job to spread the word about a new book. Your help will make a big difference.
Please share this blog post with your coaching colleagues and coaching students! Each book provides one Continuing Coach Education (CCE) unit in Resource Development. I wrote about hidden sources for acquiring CCE’s in an earlier blog post, ICF CCE Sources You Might Have Overlooked.
I’ll post again when the new book is ready to download.
In the meantime, I wish you continued success in your coaching endeavors.
