Mentor coaching is a big part of the ICF credential renewal and the ICF credential application process. Many coaches opt to meet this requirement with group mentor coaching.
If you have worked with me as your mentor coach over the years you know that I love integrating your feedback into future programs, especially in group mentor coaching. Now that the ICF has launched new coach competencies, all of my programs and resources for coaches are being updated to reflect the new ICF credential requirements.
I have always made changes and updates to my programs and tools for coaches based on what participants tell me they need.
Last year, coaches told me that they would like to hear coaching demos from MCC coaches during the Group Mentor Coaching.
I made the shift.
Now, coaching demos are a much-loved component for every mentor coaching group.
A few weeks ago, I heard from a coach who said she’d love to be able to participate in a group to learn the new competencies, be able to practice coaching with her peers, get coached, and earn CCE units. What a great idea!
Lots of my coach clients agreed.
One thing led to another and … Voila!
The ICF Competencies Brush-Up and Practice Program!!
This program provides you with a great option for earning CCE units in the Core Competency category as you prepare for credential renewal. You can:
- Earn 7 CCE units in the Core Competency (CC) category
- Brush up on the new ICF Competencies and PCC Markers
- Get coached within the group
- Coach within the group and receive feedback
Over the many years that I have been mentor coaching, I have noticed that programs offered from now until the end of the year fill up fast. I think it is because the credential renewal deadline is on everyone’s radar.
I always encourage coaches to plan ahead and get their CCE units lined up earlier to avoid the last-minute panic when they discover the Three-Month Rule for Mentor Coaching.
So, if you are interested in this new program, you’ll want to register soon.
